As usual im going again this year - anybody from here up for it?

Motorhead are headlining this year.

It's a great weekend (even it was a little damp last year) with a great chilled out atmosphere. In all the years I've been going I've not seen one bit of trouble, not even any drunken "are lookin' at my pint" type argy bargy.

The Bulldog is still the only UK event offering live entertainment along side Run-wot-you-brung drag racing sessions; visitors are encouraged to leave the car at home, ride to the Bulldog Bash and run their own bike’s on the Shakespeare County Raceway dragstrip - it's an experience not to be missed. RWYB (Run Wot You Brung) Track times are between 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, 9.30 to 1.00pm on Sunday. All bikes must pass Scrutineering; which begins at 8:30am and continues throughout the RWYB sessions. The costs for RWYB are just £10 per day on Friday & Saturday, and £5 for Sunday Morning. Jet cars and rocket bikes will be hurtling down the drag strip all weekend, punctuated by top stunt bike performances.

We will meeting up at my house (Evesham) at around 11ish on the Friday (7th) as we need to get there by midday get a good camping* spot. We ususally make it home about 11ish on the Sunday.

BBC - Strict security for Bulldog Bash

There will be a strict security operation during a biker festival in Warwickshire, police have said.

Warwickshire Police tried to prevent the annual Bulldog Bash being held, due to what it said was an escalation in violence between two rival biker gangs.

Organisers of the event at Long Marston airfield, near Stratford-on-Avon, have said the allegations are unfounded.

Police say they will conduct stop-and-search operations during the festival, from 6 to 10 August.

'Criminal minority'

They also plan to close roads and check number plates.

Police surgeries are to be held in nearby villages so people can report any concerns.

Assistant Chief Constable Bill Holland said officers wanted to protect people from harm during the gathering.

"This is not to say that all those attending are criminals - the vast majority are decent people out to enjoy themselves.

"But there is a small criminal minority, and it is against these that the police operation will be targeted," he said.

Seven men from the Hells Angels and Outlaws gangs were each jailed for six years in June after a brawl at Birmingham Airport's Terminal Two.

And seven men were jailed for the murder of Gerry Tobin, a Hells Angel shot dead on the M40 in 2007 as he returned from the Bulldog Bash.

The men turned out to be the entire chapter of the South Warwickshire Outlaws, based in Coventry.

Hope you have a great time Kat and possible bonus of good weather will be a bonus. Best not mention who you are on this sight when being quizzed by the Law on the gate as the mere mention of a Japanese fighting sword will have you surrounded

Well made it there and back without incident and only saw Warwickshire's finest sitting in vans in laybys looking bored. We arrived dinner time on Friday and due to the downpour on Thursday night some of the access roads were a tad muddy. The campsite was in good shape however and the brilliant weather over the weekend soon dried the worst of the mud.

On Friday night Saxon and UFO were looking old but good and on Saturday Motorhead were loud and fantastic.

Here are the pictures:

Love the pics, glad you had good time. Shame that it always seems to clash with my main holiday
