We thought there would be 5 but only 4 turned up, and only 3 of us were to actually hit the road.
My Gixxer 600, Jasons Thunderace, Steves Street Fightered Gixxer 600 and Goffs Street Triple ready for the off
Sometimes you fancy a different route to the tried and tested, so we decided to reverse one of our favourites, literally seeing things from a different angle of approach. Leaving our home town in North West Worcestershire, Steve peeled off as he was just on a local circuit having done some work on Street Fightering his 98 GSXR600 and was just checking if anything was shaking loose or falling off!!
Street Fightering in Progress- Those front discs look lethal
We motored through Stourport on Severn on the A451/A443,Tenbury on the A4112 and Leominster along the A49 before our first coffee stop which was amonst the trees 2 miles South West of Brecon on the A40.
 Sheltering in the Shade
We moved off and continued along the A49 to Llandovery where we refuelled. We said say goodbye to the smooth broad tarmac and headed off on unclassified roads towards the UK's tallest Dam at 300 feet Llyn Brianne.

Kayakers have used the spillway when in flood, thats now banned
Bikes resting for a short while. The snack van failed to show up that particular day
We continued on the unclassified taking in the scenery....

..... onwards towards Tregaron
 Tregaron
After a breather (a fag break for Goff) we set off along the B4343 on the Mountain Road to Elan Valley, where we again stopped for a coffee at Craig Goch

Then on towards the other dams.....

A quick break at Garreg Ddu
Where we counted the three Pill Boxes
Time was now running short so we motored straight back in the direction of home via Rhyader, Knighton, Leintwardine (where Jason left to head towards Telford),Ludlow, Clee Hill and finally Bewdley
Last chance for a roadside smoke, just 4 miles from home
We travelled a total of 221 miles, all of it in glorious weather,we had a wonderful time on the road with a good mix of A roads B roads and rather tortuous unclassifieds, there sure where a lot of other bikes out that day taking advantage of the wall to wall sunshine. |

| Wow, 221 miles. Certainly was the weather for it. Some pretty good shots there, would you recommend the 'reverse' route you did? |
