want it road registered as well as on track and am trying not to be spending silly cash. The kit however costs about £4k and then a bike too so not cheap.
Anyone know of a cheap 08 ktm exc up for grabs, can then use the left over bits on my 250 for playin in the dirt! :D |

| depending on how competent you are it can be done a hell of a lot cheaper, think if I had done somit similar before I would source my own bits off ebay etc and that way prob save £1k on bits. If I was not gonna keep the left over bits for my 250 I could also sell them for almost £1k too bringing the cost of the conversion down by 50% on top of the cost of the bike. |

I am now going ahead with this, but not in this form. Instead of a 450cc 4 stroke MX bike I am using a 300cc 2Stroke Enduro bike, but am not keeping it in the frame, am gonna try squeeze it into a baby 125cc road race bike.
The donor bikes are:
1998 KTM 300EXC and a Cagive Mito 125.
and am hoping the end result will look a lil bit like this (with artistic licence lol)

| its the lever that clashes. Will have a think once I get the engine mounted. Would be loads easier if I was using the latest engine as it has lecky start lol, but then you got the extra weight of a battery etc plus you gotta find somewhere to mount it too |

Looks good Pete. You could just bump start it?
Looks like the KTM engine is leaning alot further forward. Are you going to be Ok for oil pick-up etc? |
