My local bike shop in sunny Kidderminster has become a dedicated Yamaha dealer so they threw a bit of a shidig to celebrate…usual sort of stuff, Arai helemet servicing, raffles, pretty promotional girls wondering around, the latest Yamahas on display and available for test ride, crap local DJ
It was a busy day and they seemed to have a good turn out, I even blageed a go on a 2011 R1 so i was a happy chap!
Anyway a few pics…
Busy and well attended event
This was my favourite bike there, sorry Yamaha. Loving the holster for the Thompson!
Michael Laverty…BSB rider
Mint RG500
This LC was teetering on the edge of being over done, but got away with it!
I test rode the latest R1 and loved it, despite some restrictive escorting really holding the speeds down. Fair enough. I will post seperately about this later in the week
£20k V-Max and the FZ8 were also available for test rides
Tasty XT500 was one of a small number of classics on display in the showroom
As was this late, restricted, FS1E
Oddly on a day about all thing Yamaha this excellent example of Suzuki X7 was on display
Coffin tank RD400E…this is more in keeping!
Typical period mod, YPVS motor in an LC frame
Laverty’s mount. That sounds like a section of the TT course
Beutiful
FJ/XJR powered Minichamp car
RD250LC proddie racer, looking remarkably clean consideringGood show put on by the mart and I wish them well.
Might even pop in for a R1…

No worries, I really enjoyed the R1 and has set me thinking about getting one sometime, though I might get an older one and keep the FZ and T cat on the books too
